Reception Frogs Class 2023

Hello everyone, I am Miss Kemp and I will be your teacher in Frogs class. I am so happy to welcome you into our school. We have an exciting year ahead of us where you will have fun learning and experiencing lots of new activities. I am looking forward to getting to know you all - here are a few interesting facts about me:

Outside of teaching, I like to spend my time cooking and keeping fit. I especially enjoy taking part in gymnastics and I will be sharing my passion for sports in our PE lessons. I also love to go on long walks with my family and friends. One of my favourite things I do whilst on a walk is to collect conkers, pinecones and when on the beach seashells! At school we will explore our wonderful world together, going on bug hunts and nature walks to investigate our environment. I will challenge you to be curious and take chances when learning.

Watching musicals and plays is another way I like to spend my leisure time. So far, my favourite musical is ‘The Lion King’. Together we will be involved in lots of dramatic play activities and I am looking forwarded to bringing out your creativity and imagination in the classroom.

I can often be found visiting my local library. We will have many opportunities for storytelling and I am eager to hear all about your favourite books. One of my favourite days in the school year is celebrating reading and dressing up for World Book Day! David Mkcee, is one of the many authors that I shall introduce to you. He shares the important message that we are all unique. I am extremely excited to learn all about you and your individual interests.
