National assessments 2018
Each year children in Reception, Years 1 and 2, and Year 6 take different national assessments. By national assessments we mean tests or learning activities that are set out by the government for all primary school children in England. The type of assessment varies, depending on the age of the children - for example in Reception assessments are made by teachers making observations during children's normal learning activities, whilst in Year 6 children sit written tests in English and mathematics.
The results of individual assessments are given to parents at the end of the year, included with your child's annual report.
