Consultation on federation with Slade Nursery
The governors of Wood Farm Primary School and the Slade Nursery School and Children's Centre are holding a public consultation on our proposal to federate our schools.
At the moment Wood Farm Primary School and the Slade Nursery and Children’s Centre are two separate schools: we share our building but have different governors and leadership teams –however on the whole we work with the same children, and their families.
The governors of both schools have been looking at this arrangement, and have resolved to federate from 1st September 2016. As two federated schools, each would retain their individuality, but there would be a single governing body. There would be opportunities for working more efficiently and effectively – particularly as the schools share the same site and building. This would build on the joint work around safeguarding, family support, and support to children with SEN which is already in place.
We are holding a public consultation during the period 11th January - 26th February 2016 to gather opinions on this proposal. To read more on the proposal and to take part in the consultation please click here (this will take you to the Oxfordshire County Council consultations pages).
