Our Vision
Our school will be a centre for learning, where we set ambitious targets for ourselves and our pupils, and work together to achieve them. It will be a bright, attractive place with positive, welcoming staff and pupils, and it will be a showcase for children’s talents and achievements. We will celebrate our successes as well as constantly asking ourselves ‘How well are we doing?’ and ‘How can we do better?’ Our staff will be advocates for children and for learning, and everyone will be an active member of a learning community.
Our children will all be happy and successful learners with the confidence to say what they do well and what they need help with. We will help them to develop high self esteem and they will have access to the best resources and an exciting curriculum so that they develop the skills for success.
The parents and carers of our pupils will be partners in their education. They will support their children’s learning at school and at home, and we will value their knowledge and input into their children’s education. We will seek to engage the wider community in the work of the school by inviting visitors to bring their knowledge and experience into our classes and by demonstrating our achievements through public performances and exhibitions. We will extend our services to families in order to improve opportunities for our children. We will model learning as a lifetime’s journey.
